• Subs must wait outside the pitch (behind the doors). Failure to obey this rule may result in a yellow card.
• ALL FREE KICKS ARE TAKEN FROM THE SIDELINES.
• ALL FREE KICKS ARE DIRECT- players must stand at least 2 STEPS from the ball.
• The captain and he alone will decide when the subs will come on. Substitutions can only happen when the captain’s own team's goalkeeper has the ball. Substitutions cannot happen while the ball is live- free kick, sideline, if rule broken
• NO SLIDE TACKLING- free kick, sideline.
• D-rule- Goalkeepers are not allowed out of the D. If the goalkeeper touches the ball outside the D- penalty to opposing team. However, if the momentum of the goalkeeper carries him out of the D, but he has not touched the ball outside the D, NO penalty will be awarded. Players from both teams are allowed in the D, but not allowed to touch the ball in the D. If the ball hits a defending player in the D- penalty to opposing team. If the ball hits an attacking player in the D- keepers ball.
• The ball can be kicked/thrown over at any height.
• Goalkeepers can throw (under and over arm) and kick the ball at any height.
• Referees have the right to CAUTION (red/yellow card) any players and must be stringent on this. Two yellow cards = one red card. One red card will result in a ONE WEEK BAN. A one week ban means that the player involved will not play any of the remaining games of that week and also any of the games the following week.
• A cumulative count of three yellow cards will result in a ONE WEEK BAN.
• Organisers have the right to WARN a player. A first warning will result in a 3 WEEK BAN. Two warnings will result in player expulsion from the league (no refund given to player). Organisers are stringent on this and their decision is final.
• A referee CANNOT authorise a warning or ban- he must approach the organisers with his complaint.
• Ungentle-manly/un-Islamic conduct: any conduct deemed ungentle-manly (e.g. shouting ‘mine', losing ones temper, swearing, showing aggression to other players) can result in a free kick, penalty, caution, warning or even an instant ban(no refund given to player). This is to the referees'/organisers' discretion.
• Any team(s), having entered the league WILL NOT be refunded if they choose pull out their team at any point during the league.
• Numbers- if a team for any reason does not have at least 5 players from their team for their matches, they have two choices. Either they play with the number of players they have available or their game is forfeited and they are given a 3-0 loss. Teams MUST have a minimum of 3 players to play at all. If they have fewer than 3 players, the game will be forfeited.
• TEAMS DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO FOREFIT any matches. Any forfeits are as stated in the above conditions or up to the organisers. Any team wishing to take the rules into their own hands will be cautioned by THE WHOLE TEAM RECIEVING ONE YELLOW CARD.
• Teams are NOT allowed to borrow players from other teams within the league.
• Lateness- teams are given a MAXIMUM time of 5 minutes after the start of their game to turn up. If 5 minutes are exceeded, with the team not available to play, the game will be forfeited with a 3-0 victory to the opposing team.
• When the lights are out; all games are over, regardless of whether the game has finished at full time or not.
• PENALTIES: ALL PENALTIES are to be taken from the 2nd WHITE LINE(away from keeper) and no other coloured line. Players taking the penalty are only permitted ONE STEP before striking the ball.
• Sin Bin Rule: any player who is given a yellow card must sit out for 2mins, reducing the team to 4 players. The player may then return to the game after 2mins ONLY with the referee’s indication. The yellow card will be added to his records. The sin binned player cannot be substituted while he is in the sin bin.
• Disciplinary Committee: Any players who do not keep to these rules will be referred to the disciplinary committee who will decide on the fate of that player in the league. Ignorance of the rules will not be tolerated.
• Swearing: Swearing is completely unacceptable. ANY swearing will immediately be punished by an automatic YELLOW CARD and consequent sin bin. Any word, any context. No exceptions!
• Any aggressive behaviour / abusive conduct towards the referee or any other player on the pitch can result in a yellow card. Further action can also be taken depending on the severity of the incident.
• Assistant Refs: Some games may have the presence of an assistant ref who will most likely be watching from the balcony. He will make an input where required.
